What does a customized web site cost? That depends on your business and your individual needs. It’s a question we can’t answer until we determine the goals and requirements for your project.

What I can tell you, from both research and experience, is that your Web presence means everything. Today, everyone’s first step in contacting you is to look for you on the Web. Your web site is often your client’s first point of contact. Don’t let a poorly designed or ill-maintained web site leave a poor impression in the minds of your clients.

What I suggest is that you examine your business needs closely. A web site can range from a simple, static one page brochure site to a large, complex site with dynamic content, not to mention the many options in between.

Because so many factors go into determining the overall cost of a web site and each project is unique with its own set of requirements, we don’t offer a set price list. Take a look at the process to get an idea of what goes into developing a web site.

You still want an answer, don’t you? I can offer a ballpark. Most small site projects (from 5 to 15 pages) come in between $1,000 and $5,000, depending on the complexity of the site, the individual page design, and the extras that are included. Smaller, static sites can come in for as little as $500, again depending on the site’s unique requirements. We’ll determine the cost for your specific site after we meet and determine your individual business needs.

If you are looking for a basic Web presence, one way to save money is by using one of my stock templates. I can use your company’s branding and colour scheme on an existing layout to create a site that is uniquely yours. Just because you own a small business and have a limited budget, doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice quality or settle for a web site that’s ho hum.

Timeframe

The timeframe of a project also depends on its unique requirements. A small site project can take from one to three months while larger projects can take from six months to a year. As with the cost, we’ll determine the actual timeline for your project once we’ve established just what you need.
